PCFCD is a unique place, in Plymouth and across the UK and we are often complimented for the warmth and acceptance people find when they visit us. We feel it is very important that everyone who works with us has a clear understanding of our background, ethos and working practices. Once a term we host an introductory ½ day giving volunteers and prospective volunteers an insight into the Centre and its work. (This is not mandatory.) The Centre is open throughout the year but a great deal of our work is school-term orientated, so the majority of our voluntary opportunities are not required during school holidays. Some volunteering is possible during school holidays and we always do our best to respect and accommodate volunteers’ commitments.
