How do you think that could happen? What would interest you? Arts & Business (operating since mid 1970’s) has a well established link with philanthropy. The art of giving is no way limited to people with any or a particular spiritual belief and yet giving is often linked to developing a sense of well-being and is a key component for a number of faiths. Spirituality has a long association with the Arts and may therefore be seen as a natural partner. At a time of recession the business world is on the look-out for “value-added” and spirituality is one of the areas currently being scrutinised for benefits. Here in Plymouth we would like to develop ways to improve networks and links between these sectors and are currently researching links and gaps in these areas. If you are an artist, who is interested in spirituality or if you follow a spiritual path, faith or belief and are interested in seeing more accessible, arts-based opportunities available in the area or if your business is involved in either of these areas, or would like to move into new ways of working with local communities, let us know.
