Spirited Arts 2010 Winners

Congratulations to Plymouth teacher Mirella Paganuzzi and students Laura Cooke and Charlotte Arscott from Brook Green Centre for Learning for winning the Spirited Arts 'Art in Heaven' competition, 2010.

Think about God
Laura Cooke
Aged 12

My Art in Heaven Picture is about God and where God might be. The title is ‘Where is God?’ I like this theme because it makes people think about God and what God might be to different people. I have tried to show my thoughts in this picture by questioning who God is and where he can be found. What I like about my work is the way I have arranged the picture. To make this image I have used paint and card. What I like most about my work is that it makes people think about God.

The Sun Set And Rising
Charlotte Arscott
Aged 11

The sun is really hot but it gives life. This picture is all about the Sun that gives life. This is a spiritual picture because it makes people feel good by looking. I’ve tried to show my feelings about life in ‘the sun gives life’.

To make the image, I used, paint and paper. I’m proud of my work because I think it’s good. The main point of the image is celebrating life on earth. I’ve though a lot about life and love: it’s good.
