Hospitality

PCFCD holds regular training days and events at its base in St Judes. These are usually for small groups of 10-20, although occasionally, we do host larger groups of 30-50. We are supported in these events by our hospitality team – made up of volunteers, who welcome guests, make and serve teas, coffees, clear crockery, wash up, etc. Food is not prepared on the premises, so no prior knowledge of food handling is required. Occasionally volunteers may be invited to undertake other tasks if they are willing to do so.

Volunteers are given an induction to the Centre, its ethos and the tasks and are supported by staff at all times. We are looking for volunteers, who enjoy meeting people and are able to provide a good level of communication skills. It is important that people are willing to accommodate others from different backgrounds, cultures and faiths.
